The Midland Area

The League of Women Voters of the Midland Area is a nonpartisan, grassroots civic organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. Membership in the League is open to people 16 years and older, of all gender identities. With 100 years of experience, the League is one of America’s oldest and most trusted civic nonprofit organizations.

Great Decisions

New Opportunities to Participate in the 2023 Season Great Decisions Program

The LWV- Midland Area, in partnership with the Foreign Policy Association, will sponsor a new season of the Great Decisions program starting in January 2023. The Great Decisions program is organized by local discussion groups who address current and relevant foreign policy issues in briefing books and lectures provided by the Foreign Policy Association.

Here are candidate forums from the LWV of the Midland Area - Online access to Forums. These programs were broadcast live and recorded for repeated showings on MCTV and available on the MCTV YouTube channel (search "mctv network community voices"), along with ROKU, Apple TV, Amazon Fire devices and the Cablecast Community Media App on iOS and Android mobile devices.
