Vote Center Placement Project Demonstration Event
VOTING. REIMAGINED.
Join the League of Women Voters Long Beach and the LA County Registrar as we host a community meeting to educate the public about the new voting experience coming in 2020.
In 2020, Los Angeles County will transition from polling places to vote centers. This new model will allow voters to cast a ballot at any vote center location in the County over an 11-day period. Alternatively, you can drop your ballot off at a Vote Center up to 29 days before election day. The new voting equipment will be accessible, and voting materials and assistance will be available in 13 languages.
At our opening member event in September, the LWVLBA and the Los Angeles County Registrar are hosting a community event to educate our members and the public about the new voting experience coming in 2020. You will also have a chance to try out the new voting equipment!
Please join us on September 14 at the El Dorado Neighborhood library to have all your answers about changes coming to our voting system answered and to learn more about the League of Women Voters and our work to empower voters and protect democracy.
Open to the Public!
For those that could not attend in September, you can view the Presentation at this link: https://youtu.be/Yo1-VZ8RaHY
