Many of you are beginning the week with stay-at-home restrictions being lifted or eased in your communities. Because you mean so much to us, we want to take this time to remind each of you to remain healthy and safe during this transition period. While people may be able to move about somewhat more freely, it is still important to maintain social distancing and to wear a mask in public to avoid exposure to COVID-19. Here in the District of Columbia, the staff is still working hard from home to support all of your good work. Just like you, we’ve got a lot on our plate, but we remain committed to ensuring that you have the tools to adapt your efforts and expand your web presence. To that end, the LWVUS organizing and communications teams are collaborating to provide a Social Media 101 webinar for League members new to accomplishing LWV work on social media. Join us for this timely training on Thursday, May 7, at 3pm ET. Register now! Moving the League’s voting rights and voter information work exclusively online has also made VOTE411 more essential than ever. We’re excited to announce that The Webby Awards has recognized VOTE411 with a nomination for Best Government & Civil Innovation Website! Voting is open to the public through May 7, and we need your help to make VOTE411 the winner of the People’s Voice Award! Vote for VOTE411 now for the 24th Annual Webby Awards People’s Voice, and be sure to share with your friends and family! Here’s a quick tweet you can use to ask your network to vote for our premier voter information website. We are so thankful that our vital work of protecting democracy and empowering voters can continue even in such extraordinary circumstances. And we know the League is positioned for success at this moment because of the diligence and dedication of all our members like you. Thank you. |
