In 1869, about 500 women worked for the U.S. Treasury Department, but only received half the salary their male co-workers were paid.  While still not equal in this area, women have made strides towards equal pay.

Some of the women involved in making these strides will be among those presented in April’s program, along with other "laudable ladies,” including “victorious voters” (in an original song of that name).

This program will be an updated version of the very first PriMerry Players (PMP) program, “Laudable Ladies,” presented for the DG Area Branch of AAUW in 1993 by Joyce Tumea and cast.

Co-Hosted by DG Area Branch of AAUW and LWV Downers Grove, Lisle & Woodridge

Register for the event HERE by Monday, April 12.

All those registered will receive the Zoom link on Tuesday, April 13.
