Dear California Voter,
County election offices have begun sending vote-by-mail ballots with prepaid return envelopes to all California voters for the September 14 Recall Election. Voters will be asked whether or not they want to remove California Governor Gavin Newsom from office, and choose a candidate who could replace him as governor if a majority vote to do so.
Voters can choose yes or no on the recall, and still cast a vote for a replacement candidate.
You can get updates on your ballot through California’s official “Where’s My Ballot?” tracking tool. It only takes a few clicks to securely track your ballot!
You can click on this URL or copy it into your browser: wheresmyballot.sos.ca.gov
**If you have moved to another County since you signed up for "Where's My Ballot?”, you will need to sign up again.**
What you’ll be able to track
You can select to receive notifications on the status of your vote-by-mail ballot by text (SMS), email, or voice call, including alerts if there are any issues with your ballot and instructions for how to correct them to make sure your vote is counted.
Don't miss out on the opportunity to track your ballot every step of the way!
Yours sincerely,
California Secretary of State
