Why are you running for a position as a Town Meeting Member?  Is there a particular issue you hope to address?

I am running for Town Meeting because we face urgent environmental and transportation issues.  We need increased funding for Lexpress which serves Lexington’s most vulnerable population and better support for those who take the MBTA bus service.  Mass transit by bus is the intersection of climate change and social justice because its ridership trends low income, people of color, seniors and people with disabilities. We must redouble our efforts to protect our tree canopy and increase our acquisition of conservation land. Finally, having raised my children as a single working parent I know the importance of getting the biggest bang for every tax dollar.
