Over the past year, I have worked closely with residents at Drummer Boy to prevent a Biolab from being built at 475 Bedford St. Because of our work the developer ultimately withdrew his proposal from the 2022 Fall Town Meeting.
Why are you running for a position as a Town Meeting Member? Is there a particular issue you hope to address?
I love this town. I grew up in Lexington and have lived here for most of my life. I value our commitment to inclusivity, excellent schools, well-run town government, open spaces, and volunteerism.
Last year I worked closely with residents at Drummer Boy to prevent a Biolab from being built at 475 Bedford St and support multi-unit housing at that location instead. As a result of my work on this issue, I have learned a lot about zoning and how the Planning Board works. I am interested in many issues, especially housing diversity. I am not a fan of our smaller housing stock being replaced with huge homes.
