The League of Women Voters of Lexington will hold a First Friday forum on Friday, November 1, 2024, 9:30 MA in Room 237 at the Lexington Community Center. It will feature David Pinsonneault, Director of Lexington Public Works, giving an update on the trash and recycling program (what is no longer considered trash, ways to reduce trash, ways to increase recycling), an update on the food waste program, discuss future trends such as automated collection, rising disposal costs, additional waste bans and discuss some strategies for Lexington moving forward. He will be joined by Robert Beaudoin, Julia Green, MassDEP Municipal Assistance Coordinator for Northeast District 3, and a member from the Waste Reduction Task Group.
This program is part of the 2024-2025 First Fridays hosted by the League of Women Voters to promote awareness and understanding of public policy issues. There will be time for Q&A after the program.
