YWCA “Stand Against Racism” Campaign

The YWCA is hosting their annual “Stand Against Racism” campaign April 22nd and 23rd. This year the campaign centers around “Racism as a Public Health Crisis.” The League of Women Voters supports “Medicare for All” which would aid in combating  inequities in the health care system for communities of color and other disenfranchised communities

Due to the ongoing pandemic the event is being help virtually so please visit the website https://ywcacentralcarolinas.org/programs/stand-against-racism/ to find out more about the campaign and sign up to support this event. 

 On April 23rd  from 12-1pm we will be participating the Stand Against Racism in your neighborhood and workplaces. Making signs and holding them up outside your house, placing them in your lawn or window are just a few ways that you can show your support.  You can use your creativity to show support.  Please post your signs to the link on the YWCA webpage or on our Instagram or Twitter at @lwvcm   We will also be at  the League office, 1817 Central Ave from 12-1pm on April 23rd. Bring your sign in support of “Stand Against Racism” and we can hold them up in front!  All safety measure and social distancing will be taken.
