Please consider volunteering to answer calls on Election Day. It's a fun and fulfilling way to assist voters and represent the League!
For decades, our League members have answered voters' questions at the Election Day Phone Bank at WBNS 10TV. We need volunteers for all shifts on November 6.
The Phone Bank is a major service that LWVMC provides the community, as well as a great opportunity for visibility for the League. Volunteers always answer calls about where to vote, what's on the ballot, and what ID they will need, and there are always new questions too. We also pass on to the Board of Elections problems at polling places that callers report to us. Don't worry if you don't know the answers now. Volunteers will receive great training materials.
Shifts typically run from two to four hours, between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. You are likely to appear on camera, briefly and unpredictably. Using laptop computers, League volunteers assist hundreds of callers.
Check out our SignUp Genius and sign up for your shift today! When you've selected your shifts, be sure to go to the bottom of the page and hit the blue "Submit and Sign Up" button. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0c4aa4ab2aa5f85-november4
You will also have the opportunity to attend an in-person, hands-on training on Saturday, November 3, from 10:00 a.m. - noon, at the downtown branch of the Columbus Public Library. Here's the sign-up for the training.
