100th Anniversary Celebrations

League of Women Voters across the nation celebrate the passage & ratification of the 19th Amendment & the beginnings of the LWV...

 

Although many events have had to be cancelled due to the pandemic, we have listed some that Coos County celebrated prior to the Stay-at-Home orders and also links to events and resources that continue to be available. 

 

      • Iron Jawed Angel - a movie presented to the Community at the Coos Bay Public Library on Thursday, October 17th at 7:30 pm.

      • Suffragette - a movie presented to the Community at the Egyptian Theater in Coos Bay on Saturday, February 15th at 7 pm  with free admission.

      • Journey to Equalitea - afternoon tea presented jointly with the Coos History Museum.  Come celebrate 100 years of Women's Suffrage.  Experience our history through song as Cece Otto teaches us about the iconic women who fought for our most fundamental political rights!  Tickets available at the museum. 

CANCELLED - due to Stay-at-Home Orders from Gov. Brown!     

May be rescheduled in August or September, if possible.
