Introductory Slides
Please look at the introductory slides by LWVSC Director for Racial Justice, Dr. Patricia Felton-Montgomery. These slides review the entire series offerings, including another and, complimentary webinar to the RJ series by the Charleston League, introducing us to the Edisto Nachez-Kusso Tribe of South Carolina. Sabrina Grey Wolf Creel, Tribal Council Board Member shared facts and myths about Native American cultures and reminded us of the Trail of Tears that displaced many of her culture and other northeastern tribal nations to desolate areas of the midwest that were not their native grounds. This webinar can be found on the LWVHHI-BA website. Click on State and Local Racial Justice Webinars on the site Home Page or contact the Charleston League.
