Are you registered to vote? Register To Vote

Before you can vote you need to register. You must register 30 days prior to the election in order to vote in that election.

Applications may be obtained from libraries, the voter registration office: County Election Commission, the Motor Vehicle Division of the Department of Public Safety, the Department of Social Services, the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, or you may download the application, complete it, and mail it to your County Election Commission. The League of Women Voters also holds Voter Registration Drives.

To Register you must be:

[1] A U.S. Citizen

[2] 18 years of age by the next general election

[3] A resident of South Carolina, your county, and your voting precinct

[4] Not under a court order declaring you "Mentally incompetent"

[5] Not incarcerated for a felony or misdemeanor offense

[6] Not on probation or parole for a felony or misdemeanor violation of an election law
