Elections Administrator Asks for League Volunteers' Help

Type:
News

New voting equipment will be delivered to the county on Thursday, and Hays County Elections Administrator reached out to ask the League if we might have some volunteers who could help on Friday (and the following week until it's finished) with conducting Acceptance Testing. It’s a lengthy process and will go much more expeditiously with help.

It’s a great opportunity to see the new equipment and get some firsthand training on the system.  It can be on a come and go basis anytime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. So, no one needs to feel obligated to come and stay for any certain amount of time.

She hopes for about 30 volunteers to help her office unpack and test the new equipment on  Tuesday, Wednesday, and possibly Thursday, September 3-5.

Elections Administration offices are in the Hays County Government Center. Please let us know if you can help (lwvhaysco@gmail.com or message us on Facebook). Also, you can contact their office at elections@co.hays.tx.us or call (512) 393-7310.
