What is a Position?

The League of Women Voters takes action on an issue only when we have a position addressing that particular issue. Members must study and come to consensus on an issue, in order to form a position. This thorough grassroots process ensures that our advocacy is well considered by a broad range of people, understood by our members, and we have a sense of the political environment.

Arlington Positions

Position

League Basics contains essential policy and organizational information applicable to every local and state League. League Basics offers advice, guidelines and more detailed information to help leaders develop specific methods of operation to enable a League to accomplish its goals.

Efforts in Arlington to retain and expand affordable housing geared primarily towards those with incomes 60- 80 percent of the median income or below.

Programs for homelessness prevention, transitional housing, housing for physically and mentally disabled, and substance abuse treatment should be priorities for County funding.
