Friday, October 11, 2:00 pm at the Dungeness Schoolhouse, the North Olympic Land Trust is hosting a showing of a film made by the League of Women Voters of Clallam County, the Story of Water-An Introduction.

After a year spent working with local partners researching all aspects of water issues impacting the Dungeness River watershed, the League produced a short video presentation on the issue.

The Story of Water-An Introduction film will be followed up with a series of presentations over the next 10 months on specific water topics sponsored by the League and their community partners. These will begin in the fall of 2019.  Presentations will be offered by experts and take place in public locales. Titles include “The Status of Snow Packs and Glaciers” and “Conserving and Storing Water: What Are Our Choices?”.

The Leagues partners on this study include Clallam County, City of Sequim, City of Port Angeles, Clallam Conservation District, North Olympic Land Trust, Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society, Dungeness River Audubon Center, Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe and Clallam County Public Utility District #1.
