Can we all just get along?
In the days leading up to the November 6 mid-term election, it seems that hate is dominating the news cycle and peace and civility are out of reach. Your League of Women Voters of Appleton will host a panel discussion on Monday November 19 on “Civility and Civil Discourse”--what has happened to our ability to have civil discussions, what role each of us plays in creating civility, and perhaps what lies ahead in our future as a civil society.
We look forward to hearing from some of our community leaders on this important topic:
- Mayor Tim Hanna
- Dean of Spiritual and Religious Life at Lawrence University Linda Morgan-Clemente
- Appleton Diversity Coordinator Karen Nelson
- Representative for the 57th Assembly District Amanda Stuck
- Moderator John Peterson
Make plans now to attend this important discussion!
