The LWV of Beloit supports:

• the continued use of methane gas and other by-products. (rev. 2013)
• obtaining necessary equipment to better use waste products.  (rev. 2013)
• sampling, monitoring and meter reading of industrial effluent that is accurate, complete, and explainable.
• fair and equable user charges for both industry and domestic use. No user should be charged less than the domestic rate.
• city should keep the public informed on the above developments and also on upcoming DNR regulations and the penalties for noncompliance.
• careful consideration and public disclosure to be given to future industrial development and its impact on the Wastewater Treatment Plant. While the plant is built to allow growth, prospective industries must be given full information up front on user charges.
