The League of Women Voters of Manitowoc County invites all members of the public, and especially its members, to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment ratification on Wednesday August 26 at NOON when the bells in the Niles Church located in the complex of the Manitowoc County Historical Museum will be run 19 times in honor of the Nineteenth Amendment.

“The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.”

Please join fellow league members at the Manitowoc County Historical Society 924 Pinecrest Road at noon on Wednesday August 26 to celebrate this momentous day and enjoy the exhibit "Rightfully Hers" in the museum's Two Creeks Town Hall located on the grounds.  With its 60 acres and 25 buildings, this is an outdoor place appropriate to spend time with your "family unit" without comprising health.

Admission to the complex with its more than 25 historic buildings, plus 60 acres, allowing for social distancing, is $10 per adult and $7 children .  For guests choosing to use the hand-held audio tours, staff will sanitize and rotate the devices after each use.

The large indoor room with this particular exhibit can be viewed safely using social distance guidelines on the days that the Museum is open: 10 am - 4 pm Wednesdays - Sundays until Sept 9th.

Other areas of the Museum where it is difficult to maintain social distance or cleanliness will be closed including the Children’s Discovery Village, a favorite destination for young pioneers which cannot be adequately sanitized after each family’s visit.

The next pop up exhibit, "We stand on Their Shoulders", continues this theme Tues Sept 15 thru Sun Sept 27th.
