Speaker: Professor Ed Batson

Edwin (Ed) Batson is an active member of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). He serves as the instructor and coordinator for the "Social Science in the News" program, which explores the latest social science research to provide insights into current issues. The program emphasizes understanding data behind contemporary topics, aiming to add knowledge rather than rhetoric to public discussions.

In addition to his teaching role, Ed has been involved in mentoring initiatives through OLLI's collaboration with CSUF. He was among the OLLI members who received recognition for exceptional service from California State Senator Josh Newman. This acknowledgment was for their contributions to Project Rebound, a program that supports formerly incarcerated students in achieving their academic and professional goals.
