Our speaker will be Dr. Steve McLaughlin, now in his fifth year as Superintendent of the Fullerton Joint Union High School District.
Dr. Steve McLaughlin has dedicated more than 25 years to K-12 public education. His career spans roles as a teacher, coach, labor representative, and site and district administrator, giving him a unique and comprehensive perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing California schools today.
In this presentation, Dr. McLaughlin will reflect on the inspirational yet complex realities of public education in the 21st century. He will highlight the urgent challenges that schools face while preparing students for an evolving workforce shaped by technology and global change. At the same time, he will share stories of resilience, innovation, and collaboration that demonstrate the power of educators, families, and communities working together to expand opportunities for students.
Attendees will gain insight into how schools are not only responding to ever changing mandates, but also leading change by developing academic and career pathways, strengthening partnerships, and fostering the next generation of civic and community leaders.
