The League of Women Voters of North Santa Barbara County (LWVNSBC) is excited to partner with several community organizations to provide non-partisan candidate forums this fall.

LWVNSBC is partnering with the Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce to moderate a non-partisan Candidate Forum for candidates running for City of Santa Maria Mayor.  The forum is on October 04, 2024, with Networking Social from 5:00-5:30 p.m., and the Forum from 5:30-7:30 pm. The forum will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 402 South Lincoln Street, Santa Maria.

There will be facilitated questions for the candidates, along with time for the audience to ask questions.  The program wraps up with a closing statement from each candidate.

Notes for attendees:  1) Do not bring signs or wear supporting material in the forum room, or speak out or applaud before the forum concludes. 2) The League will be recording the candidate forum in its entirety. No other video recording is allowed.

Refreshments and translation services will be provided.  Free to attend and all are welcome!

Hosted by: LWVNSBC, Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce.  Thank you to the Fund for Santa Barbara, NAACP-Santa Maria Lompoc branch, and the Santa Maria TImes for their partnership in this event.
