Election Forum May 3rd

Hear from and question candidates for the following Alameda County offices:

• Assessor
• Auditor-Controller
• Superior Court Judge

Note: not all District Attorney candidates are able to attend this forum; the League will thus read a statement from each candidate. There will be no question and response portion for this office.

Obtain objective information about measures appearing on the June 5th ballot. An overview and summary of the major “pros and cons’” will be presented for the following regional and state ballot measures:

• Regional Measure 3 (Bay Area Traffic Relief Plan)
• Proposition 68 - California Drought, Water, Parks, Climate, Coastal Protection, and Outdoor Access for All Act
• Proposition 69 - Motor Vehicle Fees and Taxes
• Proposition 70- Greenhouse Gas Reduction Reserve Fund
• Proposition 71 - Effective Date of Initiatives
• Proposition 72 - Property taxation: new construction: rain water capture system
