Linda King

Linda served as an instructor of Geography and Anthropology at West Valley College for thirty-two years. Born in Los Angeles and educated at UCLA and UC Davis, she now is retired and devotes her time to supporting the goals of the League of Women Voters. As a well-traveled geographer and anthropologist, Linda understands the value of the League's leadership role in maintaining our democracy. Linda believes that democracy begins at the local level, where citizens can know their elected officials as members of the community they live in; where decisions affect daily lives. Therefore she enjoys serving as the League's Observer for both the Monte Sereno and Los Gatos Town Councils. Her many interests include urban planning, resources sustainability, and human rights.
