Message from League of Women Voters of Georgia
The Senate runoff election in Georgia is just a few weeks away! Millions of Georgia voters will be making a plan to vote in the January 5th election, and we want to ensure that they have all the information they need to participate.
Earlier in November, we partnered with the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights for a successful Text-a-Thon, where we were able to contact over 300,000 Georgia voters. We are so excited to share that the League of Women Voters is teaming up again with the Leadership Conference on Tuesday, December 15th for a statewide GOTV phonebank!
We will be making calls to voters across Georgia to remind them about important runoff election information and to support the crafting of a voting plan. We are offering two shifts –each starting with a thorough training—followed by one hour of phonebanking!
· Shift 1: 4:00pm ET- 5:30pm ET
· Shift 2: 5:30pm ET- 7:00pm ET
Volunteers will make calls via ThruTalk, a predictive dialer which allows us to contact hundreds of voters easily, and maximizes the amount of time spent talking to real Georgia voters. Please be sure to have a laptop/computer and a phone available before your scheduled training begins.
Our training at the beginning of each shift will go over the platform and the script in detail—so if you are new to phonebanking, that’s no problem!
