The League of Women Voters of Moscow will present “Climate Change: How the League of Women Voters is Taking Action” on Wednesday, Sept. at noon via Zoom. The program will feature Diz Swift, Co-Chair of the League of Women Voters USClimate Interest Group.

Climate Change was established as an urgent issue by the 2020 LWVUS Convention attendees. Shortly thereafter, the LWVUS Climate Interest Group was formed. It now has over 1,500 LWV members from nearly all states and is working on a number of climate issues in multi-state teams.

Swift has a PhD in geology and has worked on climate for several years. She comes from a corporate career background and has, since her retirement, worked on climate policy. With LWV-California she is Chair of the Climate Change Task Force and Director of Natural Resources.
