Goodwill Industries of the Northwest is an independent nonprofit organization serving 23 counties in north Idaho and eastern Washington. We help our communities by offerings programs that focus on employment, job training and skill development, housing support and financial stability. We have been serving our Inland Northwest communities since 1939. There are more than 155 independent Goodwill organizations. Each Goodwill is an independent nonprofit agency, operated by different boards of directors and different staff. Heather Alexander is the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest. Heather returned to her hometown of Spokane, Washington in 2013 with her family to serve with Goodwill. It is a union of her heart for people, and her experience in public relations and fund raising for nonprofit organizations. Heather is fond of the Moscow community, both because she has two children who are Vandals, and because of her time spent with our staff and our participants in Moscow and Lewiston. A graduate of Pacific Lutheran University, Heather has been serving nonprofits and government agencies for more than 25 years.

The Hope Center began as a ministry of the Moscow Nazarene Church in 1988 and became an independent nonprofit in 2013. Our “Hope at Work Program” provides workforce training, case management, counseling, recovery programming, mentorship, and community to those who are struggling to obtain and maintain employment but are nonetheless willing to make positive life changes. We also provide vouchers to those in need of items within our thrift store. Brian Nuttbrock has been the executive director of the Hope Center for almost four years. He has a background in marketing and sales as well as volunteer work in mentoring, counseling and prison ministry. Brian is a member of Bridge Bible Fellowship in Moscow and has been married and in love with his wife Katy for almost 25 years. They have five amazing children together.

For the past 22 years StVDP, St Francis of Assisi Conference in Latah County has provided rental, utilities, emergency housing, and other assistance to the poor in Latah County. Demands for our help have increased in numbers of people requesting assistance and the amount of assistance provided to families and individuals. Bob Tribelhorn has been a member and volunteer of StVDP for nine years. He has been serving as President for the past 2 years. He retired in 2014 after a 35-year career with the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Bob is a member of the St Mary’s Catholic Church Parish in Moscow and happily married to his wife Brenda.
