Join the LWV Moscow for a Speaker Series event, Navigating Elder Care: Near and Far, at noon on Wed., Oct. 19 in the Lecompte Auditorium at the 1912 Center. Julia Parker, RN-BC Gerontology, Ph.D. will present elder care resources for how to personalize care, integrate family and loved ones, and communicate about wants and needs. In addition, we will discuss senior support resources across the Palouse. 

Julia Parker dedicated the past decade of her life to learning about and working with the elderly and their loved ones. She supports and teaches elders, their families and health care workers to help understand the impacts of aging, dementia, and the health care system. She continues to work both as a nurse administrator and a nurse consultant in elder care. Born and raised in Ohio, Julia has lived and worked in Moscow, Idaho for the past 22 years.
