The League of Women Voters of the U.S. is an official sponsor of the upcoming No Kings 2 protests on October 18.

Location:

3200 Ogden Lisle. 11:00am to 12:30pm

We are rallying to:

• Support the Bill of Rights
• Oppose federal overreach 
• Reject cuts to essential service

This is not just a League event—the purpose is to activate your community! Invite your friends, your relatives, your neighbors, people u know from your workplace, the gym, the library, your sorority/fraternity sisters and brothers. Help folks find a place to speak their mind.

DO:

• BE COURAGEOUS
• Carry a sign that reflects your personal concerns
• Bring a friend! Reach out to people outside of the “League bubble”
• Protest peacefully and stay safe 
• Wear your League t-shirt, hat, buttons
• Carry League banners

DON’T:

Stay home

• Be silent
• Do nothing because you are unable to attend—let others know about the events via social media or a phone call
• Engage in partisan actions

When representing the League or wearing LWV shirts (which we encourage!), use good judgment when creating signs and participating in nonpartisan chants.
