Candidates invited to participate in this event were those vying for Madison County Clerk and Recorder, Illinois State Senator 56th District, Illinois Representative in the General Assembly 112th District. Candidates for United States Representative in Congress 13th Congressional District and candidates for judicial races were also invited for this forum.

Moderator Rachel Tompkins provided an opportunity for all candidates participating to introduce themselves and their platforms. For those races having both candidates present, questions prepared in advance by members of the LWVEA and NAACP will be asked of the candidates.
