The League of Women Voters of the Edwardsville Area sponsored a 2026 Primary Election Candidate Event on Tuesday, February 25, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Wildey Theatre, 252 North Main Street, Edwardsville, IL 62025.  The video of the event can be found here.

We are pleased to announce that 12 candidates accepted our invitation, representing multiple parties and races, including:
• U.S. House District 15 (Republican and Democratic candidates)
• U.S. House District 13 (Republican and Democratic candidates)
• Illinois House District 109
• Illinois Senate District 56
• Madison County Clerk & Recorder
Each candidate had time to introduce themselves and respond to questions addressing key policy issues. Questions were provided in advance to ensure a fair and informative forum.

This is an excellent opportunity for voters to hear directly from the candidates and make informed choices in the upcoming primary election.
