Andrea Martonffy, a resident of LaGrange who taught history and humanities for many years, will present information gathered from years of study by a bipartisan commission of leading thinkers at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (AAAS). The report, "Our Common Purpose: Reinventing American Democracy for the 21st Century," makes concrete recommendations for how to rebuild a culture of commitment to American constitutional democracy.
