Roosevelt University, The Auditorium Building, 430 S. Michigan Ave. in the Ida B. Wells Meeting Room.
US
Tuesday, May 9, 2023 - 9:45am to 1:00pm
As soon as we get final membership numbers we will let you know the number of delegates for your league. While only delegates vote on the business at the meeting all members are welcome and invited to attend. Registration for the meeting will be available by the end of March and materials for the meeting will be available in April. The cost for the meeting will be $35.

On the day of the meeting, registration will begin at 9:15am with the Business Meeting starting at 9:45am. A box lunch Luncheon and Program will follow the business meeting. The featured speaker for the Program is Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD) Commissioner Cameron Davis.

Mr. Davis was elected to the MWRD Board of Commissioners in November 2018 and presently is Chair of the MWRD Stormwater Management Committee and the Public Health and Welfare Committee. His initial election was as a write-in candidate. For more than three decades Commissioner Davis has worked to develop and implement water quality and quantity policy. During  the Obama Administration he worked with the federal government and Congress on Great Lakes issues. As a MWRD Commissioner he is now working on the District's dual mission of processing waste water and storm water management including flood control. As these are very important issues for all of Cook County residents we look forward to hearing about the Commissioners work on the MWRD Board.

After 3 years of virtual Annual Meetings the LWVCC Board is looking forward to once again meeting with our members in person. This is a great opportunity for hearing about what LWVCC has been doing and to meet with your fellow Leaguers. See you there.

Sincerely,

Cynthia Schilsky
LWVCC President
