Prejudice, discrimination, and hatred are often fueled by the erasure of groups of people from history. “Without A Whisper” explores the untold story of how Indigenous women influenced the suffragist movement in the United States. This transformative film follows Mohawk Bear Clan Mother Louise Herne and Professor Sally Roesch Wagner as they challenge the established history and join forces on a journey to shed light on the influence of Haudenosaunee Women during the women’s rights movement. In doing so, they change how we view this history forever.

The film will be followed by a panel discussion between the film’s leading subjects, Bear Clan Mother Louise Herne (Mohawk), Dr. Sally Roesch Wagner, founder and executive director of the Matilda Joslyn Gage Foundation and Center for Social Justice Dialogue, and Director/Producer Katsitsionni Fox (Bear Clan, Mohawk Nation at Akwesasn).

Part of the Jones Day Foundation Community Series, a special series of events focused on confronting antisemitism and hatred in all its forms.
