Join Julie Strauss, Ph.D., for an in-depth discussion of how the legal rights of women have expanded during history and where they stand today.  She will pay particular attention to current issues surrounding access to birth control, same sex marriage, employment discrimination, and, of course, abortion.  Don't miss this stimulating discussion about the evolving nature of women's rights as perceived by the Supreme Court.

Julie Strauss, Ph.D. is a popular lecturer whose passion is teaching adults.  She specializes in American politics with course and lecture offerings that include Money in Congress, Presidential Misconduct, The Presidential and Mid-Term Elections, Recent Supreme Court Decisions, The Media in Politics, and the Balance of Power between the Legislative and Executive Branches. 

Dr. Strauss received her Ph.D. in American Politics from Northwestern University where her dissertation examined the unique role women members of Congress have had on public policy.  Prior to entering graduate school, she spent two years on Capitol Hill working for elected officials.
