Seeking candidates for Village Trustee, Library, Parks and Schools Boards
Winnetka uses a caucus system in which caucus volunteers identify, screen and select candidates for our elected offices. The "slates" of candidates are put before the entire village in the fall, and after approval, on the ballot in the spring.

Positions Open
These positions require a commitment of your time and energy and we seek candidates with a passion for our Village, perspective on the key issues, and a track record of service.
Village - 4
Village Council Trustee is a volunteer, 2-year-term position.
Library - 5
Library Board Trustee is a volunteer, 4-year-term position.
Schools - 3
School Board Trustee is a volunteer, 4-year-term position.
Parks - 3
Parks Board Trustee is a volunteer, 4-year-term position.
Process
Step 1 - Apply - Submit application no later than August 10, 2020
Step 2 - Eligibility - We verify your eligibility per Caucus rules
Step 3 - Interview - All eligible candidates receive an interview between 8/17 and 9/16
Step 4 - Selection - Candidates are approved at the Fall Town Hall on 11/11
Step 5 - Election - Election in April 2021
