Cass County conducts election worker training every two years, this is the year that they do not offer training. Several training sessions are usually offered in June and July of even years. Once trained, you are certified to work any election in Michigan for two years. At that point, you must attend another training session.
 
Local jurisdictions hire trained residents to work as election inspectors. To be eligible to work, they must be at least 16 years of age, a resident of the State of Michigan and trained by someone legally eligible.
