SEMCOG, the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments, and its partner organization, the Metropolitan Affairs Coalition (MAC), have launched a public survey to better understand people's perceptions of water infrastructure in Southeast Michigan.
All Southeast Michigan residents are asked to participate. Input will support development and implementation of policies and planning to improve the region's infrastructure systems. This effort supports the work of the Water Infrastructure Task Force, which is comprised of government, business, and nonprofit organizations. The task force is focused on current conditions and future resiliency as well as short- and long-term actions needed for sustainable water infrastructure systems in Southeast Michigan. “Water infrastructure is one of the most important priorities for communities across Southeast Michigan, ” said Amy O'Leary, SEMCOG Executive Director and MAC President. “To effectively plan and guide investment decisions, local officials need to understand what is most important to the people who are served by our systems each day.” |
The survey will be up until at least October 14.
