Amidst these turbulent and painful times here and in the Middle East, particularly in Gaza, ACCESS continues its tireless dedication to service delivery and community building. We invite you to join us as we uplift Arab American voices and draw strength from coming together with friends, family, and allies on Thursday, April 18 for the ACCESS 52nd Annual Dinner at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center.   

​We are honored to present the extraordinary Michel S. Moushabeckwith the 2024 Arab American of the Year Award. A distinguished writer, editor, publisher, and musician of Palestinian descent, Michel has played a pivotal role in promoting an in-depth understanding of Arab / Arab American communities through unique and renowned literary and musical works. As the founder of Interlink Publishing, an independent publishing house focused on amplifying diverse voices, he has greatly enriched our cultural tapestry. Please join us in recognizing and celebrating Michel Moushabeck's remarkable, life-changing contributions.

 With great pleasure, we introduce Sandra Ali as emcee for our upcoming ACCESS 52nd Annual Dinner - a daughter of migrant parents turned award-winning anchor and reporter, Sandra has been at the forefront of delivering some of the most breaking news and insightful commentary for years. Born and raised in New York City, Sandra spent the early part of her childhood in Egypt.

Currently a member of CBS News Detroit, she has been a fixture on the Fox News channel, CNN, and CNN Headline News throughout her career. Sandra earned the Associated Press award for Best Hard News Reporter in 2002 and Michigan's Association of Broadcasters' award for Best Breaking News Reporter in 2003.
