EGLE RELEASES DRAFT MI HEALTHY CLIMATE PLAN

Dear fellow Michiganders: I am proud to present the following draft MI Healthy Climate Plan with thanks to Governor Gretchen Whitmer for trusting the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) to lead this work and deep appreciation for the hundreds of Michiganders who contributed to it over the past year through thousands of hours of research, reflection, and conversation.

UPCOMING PUBLIC LISTENING SESSIONS

EGLE staff and the Council on Climate Solutions have appreciated the input received from the public on the preparation of the draft MI Healthy Climate Plan. Members of the public can email comments or suggested changes at any time to EGLE-ClimateSolutions [at] Michigan.gov (subject: Draft%20MI%20Healthy%20Climate%20Plan) or attend a listening session at which everyone will be given an opportunity to give feedback verbally. Comments can be made on any item mentioned in the draft Plan or suggestions can be shared on items you believe should be covered but are not currently included. Three online public listening sessions have been scheduled: January 26 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. (noon); February 8 from 6-8 p.m.; and February 14 from 6-8 p.m. While comments on Environmental Justice matters are welcome at all listening sessions, the listening session on February 14 will especially focus on Environmental Justice matters.
