Join us for an evening of hope and inspiration as we honor U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow with a Lifetime Achievement Award, celebrating her illustrious career representing the interest of all Michiganders. Senator Stabenow has been an innovative, tenacious trailblazer for over 40 years, always serving with honor and integrity.

A lifelong Michigan resident, Sen. Stabenow understands that our Great Lakes and waterways are vital to our economy — supporting more than 800,000 Michigan jobs. The very first piece of legislation Sen. Stabenow passed in the U.S. Senate banned oil and gas drilling in the Great Lakes. She authored the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative in 2010, which paved the way for cleaning up our lakes, waterways, and beaches.

When the Trump Administration gutted funding for the Great Lakes, she led a bipartisan coalition to get every penny restored. Stabenow authored the 2014 Farm Bill and co-authored the 2018 Farm Bill — one of the most significant investments in the conservation of our land, water, and Michigan way of life. Through targeted conservation efforts, the Farm Bill protects our Great Lakes and our water quality, while preserving wildlife habitat to support hunting, fishing, and other outdoor recreation.

The Senator will be joined by a lineup of additional honorees who are making a difference in standing up for the critical issues facing our state and communities — climate change, clean air and water, protection of public health, livable wages, and the prioritization of environmental justice for communities long overlooked.
