• Register to vote if you have yet to do so at Vote 411 or at R.I. Secretary of State.
• Get the latest updates on R.I.'s upcoming elections and learn more about voting-by-mail at R.I. Board of Elections and what the League is doing.
• Fill out the 2020 U.S. Census. We want to ensure that Rhode Island continues to receive the federal funding it deserves, and we keep two U.S. House Representatives.
• Support the League's People Powered Fair Maps campaign and ensure that R.I. puts the power of drawing districts in the hands of ordinary Rhode Islanders and not legislators. Sign a petition and show your support for proposed amendments to the R.I. Constitution to create an independent redistricting commission at Redraw RI.
• Read the House or Senate bills that would pave the way for an independent redistricting commission in Rhode Island.

Position

Support groups working for regional cooperation in the areas of economic growth, the arts, diversity, education and workforce training, environment, planned growth and development, and housing in the Southland.

Support the Community Relations/Fair Housing ordinances in Park Forest, Matteson, Richton Park and University Park.

Monitor and evaluate the TIF (Tax Increment Financing) and its impact on education funding, economic development and distribution of tax dollars to the community.

Support a coalition of faith communities, agencies and individuals who make up South Suburban Public Action to Deliver Shelter (PADS).

Continue monitoring current and proposed new methods of school financing with emphasis on the impact on schools in the H-F area.

Support the following criteria to evaluate bond issues and/or tax increases for local school districts: program review, citizen participation, long-range planning, cost-effective measures and supplemental revenue, and demonstration of need.

Support for senior citizen housing in Homewood.

Support coordinated community-based system of supportive services for the elderly designed to avoid, delay or shorten their institutionalization.
