Social justice educators refer to “agents and targets” when describing the oppressive differentials that exist between a dominant group and a subordinate group (Adams, Bell, and Griffin, Teaching for Diversity and Social Justice, 1997).

Listening to the news reports of the inhumane treatment of George Floyd and the response of people of all ages, colors, and genders, the resounding message from our black brothers and sisters is, “We cannot do this alone!” It is time for white Ame
