Position

League positions on Health Care were originally adopted in 1984, amended in 2017, and are reviewed annually.

Support programs that meet the medical needs of Butte County residents by making comprehensive health care services available to all cultural and socioeconomic groups.

We support the timely use of private and public funds and facilities to provide food, shelter and rehabilitative services to the homeless of Long Beach. We also recognize that all levels of government must address the underlying causes of homelessness and the means of preventing it.

The League has established extensive positions on healthcare at the national level.
