The Healthy California for All Commission held its first meeting on January 27 in Sacramento. The charge of the commission is to provide the Governor and Legislature with options and recommendations to advance progress toward achieving a health care delivery system that provides coverage and access to all Californians through a unified financing system, including, but not limited to, a single-payer financing system.

The League of Women Voters of the United States believes that public policy in a pluralistic society must affirm the constitutional right of privacy of the individual to make reproductive choices.

Support of programs, which provide the Social Services Agency with the tools and financing to promote the rehabilitation of recipients and the prevention of problems.

Support coordinated community-based system of supportive services for the elderly designed to avoid, delay or shorten their institutionalization.
