June 25th marks six years since the U.S. Supreme Court’s Shelby County v. Holder decision which overturned essential provisions of the VRA which has led to countless attacks on the voting rights of Americans.

Illinois Sufferage

June 10, 2019 is "Women's Right to Vote Day" in Illinois. House Resolution 382 recognizes the important role Illinois played in achieving that right.

An event commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Illinois being the 1st state to ratify the 19th Amendment was held at the Thompson Center, Chicago.

In 2018, California voters had the right to register and vote up to and including Election Day. Unfortunately, most Californians could not access Election Day Registration. This must change!

Common Cause Rhode Island is leading the charge for in-person early voting at the General Assembly, and you can help! Make your voice heard by emailing your legislators to tell them that you support early voting and they should too.
