While the centennial of the League of Women Voters is approaching (founded in 1920 and the 19th Amendment ratified that same year), the LWV Los Alamos thought it appropriate to celebrate our unique past and discover interesting facts about some of the issues we've worked on since we began in 1947:  Helping to organize the Los Alamos county government; Beginning the first farmers' market; and abolishing the state's patronage system.
