This month’s Lunch with a Leader will be on June 19 at the Unitarian Fellowship Hall on Sage St. from 12-1pm. Please arrive around 11:45 so we will be ready for our speaker to begin at 12. Our leader will be Robert Gibson whose topic is LA's Path to Carbon-free Energy: Utilities and YOU. His talk will be on Los Alamos County’s goal to be carbon-neutral by mid-century that will require phasing out natural gas and carbon-based electricity. This talk will outline the challenges and how citizens and the County can, together, meet them.

Robert Gibson chairs the County’s Board of Public Utilities. He previously served on the Board twenty years ago between terms on County Council. He has also served on several other public boards and committees and as a bill analyst at the NM State Legislature.

Robert is a physicist and electrical engineer. Retired from LANL, he continues to work on technical projects and hobbies and remains an active pilot, hiker, and traveler.
