The White Plains Common Council held its regular monthly meeting on May 4, 2020 via videoconference. At this meeting, public hearings on 1236 Mamaroneck Avenue and 55 N. Broadway were adjourned until June 1. Hearings were held on reducing the sewer rent fee rate from 19% to 18% (which was approved) and the proposed 2020/21 city budget. There were no speakers at either. Comments on these hearings may be submitted to the City Clerk by May 11.

The council also took the following actions:

• Approved capital improvements and the related borrowing totaling $1,139,000
• Accepted a $5000 donation from White Plains Hospital for a scoreboard at Gardella Park
• Extended the site plan approval for 65 Lake Street
• Approved site plans for the redevelopment of 440 Hamilton Avenue and a new 213-unit apartment building behind it on Barker Avenue and a recreation area at 10 DeKalb Avenue

No Citizens to be Heard session was held.
