For most of this year Covid19 compelled us to stay home and deprived us of our usual activities.  We realized how interconnected we are, how important it is to be an informed citizen and how valuable League of Women Voters programs are in protecting voting rights, encouraging voting in all elections, and promoting an informed and engaged electorate.

Last fall we produced highly successful Zoom Candidate forums for Congressional seats, and NYS Assembly and Senate seats.  We had a Zoom roundtable discussion: “White Plains: Who Are We Designing For?” and a Candidate forum for a contested WP School Board election.  Over 700 people attended these Zoom programs. We continued to promote voter information through printed Voters Guides and the VOTE411.ORG website with complete election information and the candidates in your election district. This fall we will hold forums for upcoming local races.
